A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

24th December 2006 Removed more keelson.

I used a portable circular saw to cut the keelson and salvage it in strips.

This third dropped out as only the centre third is still connected to the hog. Rotten ply is under this part so it came away easily.

I then sawed the remaining third out.

I will try and reuse these lengths of Iroko elsewhere as it is expensive.
