A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

4th February 2007. Bonded new hog at front.

Bonded the hog scarf joint and the hoglet underneath.

Then I hung a couple of light bulbs underneath, to provide heat.

Then housed them in cardboard as the temperature is forecast to drop below freezing tonight.

Trimmed the rear cockpit bulkhead with a template to represent the strake.

Started thinking about flush watertight hatch lids for the rear deck.

The plan is to bond on the reinforcing wood around the opening and around the hatch then cut the opening. That way the hatch should still follow the curve of the aft deck.
