A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

15th February 2007. Cut out rear hatches

I cut out the hatches and trimmed them.

Later I will apply a 5mm hardwood facing to each edge (hatch and deck) to leave a 5mm gap.

I have inverted the photo to show the boat right way up.

Cut out and fitted the next part of the waterproof hatch surround (see 8th February 2007) and trimmed rudder case slot.
