A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

17th February 2007. Removed bulkhead

Having decided to put the rear cabin bulkhead in place of this existing bulkhead (instead of at the aft end of the centreboard case) I now had to remove the old bulkhead.

I cut most of it away with a saw but had to chisel out the ply where it was next to wood that I wanted to keep such, as the doubler on the strakes and the side bench. It took all day to chip it out, bit by bit.

I took a break to bond in part of the port hatch frame.
