A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'
18th February 2007. Made new bulkhead and dry fitted it
Made bulkhead in two halves having made a hardboard template first.
Assembling
it was a problem. It rests on the deck at the bottom edge so it can come
in that way. Each half is trapped between the side bench and the doubler
so it can't go fore and aft. At the top it has to tuck under the hog.
The centreboard case passes through the middle.
With
much cunning I found a way of assembling it.
