A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

21st February 2007. Bonding - sidebench hatch and centreboard.

Yesterday I cut out the sidebench hatches and trimmed the front edge to form the lip.

Today I bonded the sides on. I did it in position so that I could get the gap (15mm spacers) right.

See 8th February 2007 for drawings.

I also bonded on the fillet at the front of the centreboard case that I had removed to enable me to assemble it.

And the back end was bonded to the bulkhead with fillets (if that is what they are called).

I also dry fitted the sidebench sides.

She is beginning to look like a healthy boat, again.
