A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

23rd February 2007. Made and bonded centreboard pivot stiffener

Using a template of the centreboard I located and drilled a pilot hole for the centreboard pivot.

Then I made some stiffeners and bonded them in place.

I shall be using an arrangement like Tim Pettigrew's.

The case needs to be stiff to withstand the compression force on the rubber washers.
