A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'
1st April 2007. Plugged holes and laminated outboard well.
Continued plugging holes. I used plug cutters to make the right sized plugs.
This is one in the stem.
Although
the inside of the rudder trunk is glassed there is a gap in the glass
where the slot passes through the hog and the keelson. I put three layers
of glass on.
Although
you can't see it there is one layer of glass in the outboard well.
I
applied epoxy filler everywhere that it was needed and sanded it down.
Plugged
some holes under the edge of the gunwales.
