A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'
11th April 2007. Applied more filler and made bilge rubbers.
The
two original strakes are covered with glass cloth. When I removed the
paint I exposed the weave.
My
first attempt at filling did not fill the weave but this time I seem to
have mastered it.
I
made the bilge rubbers from "bent" pieces of Iroko.
